CONFISCATION ACTS 12 Stat. 319 (1861) 12 Stat. 589 (1862)

Congress enacted the Confiscation Acts “to insure the speedy termination of the present rebellion.” Both statutes liberated the slaves of certain rebels and authorized the confiscation of other types of property by judicial procedures based on admiralty and revenue models. Both statutes were compromise measures, influenced by the progressive goal of emancipation of slaves and by a respect for the rights of private property.

The Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the acts in the 6–3 decision of Miller v. United States (1871), finding congressional authority in the WAR POWERS clauses of Article I. The majority shrugged off Fifth and Sixth Amendment objections on the grounds that the statutes were not ordinary punitive legislation but rather were extraordinary war measures.

The acts were indifferently and arbitrarily enforced, producing a total of less than $130,000 net to the Treasury. Property of Confederates was also virtually confiscated in proceedings for nonpayment of the wartime direct tax, under the Captured and Abandoned Property Act of 1863, and through President ABRAHAM LINCOLN’S contraband emancipation policies.

§ 95. Emergency limitations and restrictions on business of members of Federal reserve system; designation of legal holiday for national banking associations; exceptions; “State” defined

(a) In order to provide for the safer and more effective operation of the national Banking System and the Federal Reserve System, to preserve for the people the full benefits of the currency provided for by the Congress through the national banking system and the Federal reserve system, and to relieve interstate commerce of the burdens and obstructions resulting from the receipt on an unsound or unsafe basis of deposits subject to withdrawal by check, during such emergency period as the President of the United States by proclamation may prescribe, no member bank of the Federal reserve system shall transact any banking business except to such extent and subject to such regulations, limitations and restrictions as may be prescribed by the Secretary of the Treasury, with the approval of the President. Any individual, partnership, corporation, or association, or any director, officer or employee thereof, violating any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than $10,000 or, if a natural person, may, in addition to such fine, be imprisoned for a term not exceeding ten years. Each day that any such violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.

(b)

(1) In the event of natural calamity, riot, insurrection, war, or other emergency conditions occurring in any State whether caused by acts of nature or of man, the Comptroller of the Currency may designate by proclamation any day a legal holiday for the national banking associations located in that State. In the event that the emergency conditions affect only part of a State, the Comptroller of the Currency may designate the part so affected and may proclaim a legal holiday for the national banking associations located in that affected part. In the event that a State or a State official authorized by law designates any day as a legal holiday for ceremonial or emergency reasons, for the State or any part thereof, that same day shall be a legal holiday for all national banking associations or their offices located in that State or the part so affected. A national banking association or its affected offices may close or remain open on such a State-designated holiday unless the Comptroller of the Currency by written order directs otherwise.

(2) For the purpose of this subsection, the term “State” means any of the several States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, or any other territory or possession of the United States.

“Cultivators of the earth are the most valuable citizens. They are the most vigorous, the most independent, the most virtuous and they are tied to their country and wedded to its liberty and interests by the most lasting bands.” –Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Jay (Aug. 23, 1785)

______________________________________________

Our country was founded on agriculture. With vast land to be settled and tamed, farming was originally seen as the most noble of professions. These days, farmers and others who work with their hands and bodies often earn ridicule rather than respect. Although their land is still coveted, their work is not. Technology has replaced intuition, debt has replaced honor and security, and the scratch for money has replaced the love of work. This is the story of former dairyman Guy Ekola and how he lost his dreams and his livelihood.

A farmer for over thirty years, Guy owns a small tract in west central Minnesota and had a dairy herd of about twenty cows. His one goal always has been to leave the land he worked better than he found it, and he knew what he wanted at a very early age. Guy was, and is, the embodiment of Wendell Berry’s idea…”What I stand for is what I stand on.” He farms with horses rather than tractors to more closely observe the nuances of the land and makes decisions based on nature rather than technology. He’s never made much money, and yet, he and his family prospered in different, more profound ways, raising three children and more importantly, living a life of their own choosing. Guy, one of the first members of a well-known organic dairy co-op, sold his milk to them for many years. Like all businesses today, the co-op had to grow or die and has changed from a small, “family of farms” concept to larger economies of scale. Guy was caught up in this and it is here that this story begins.

The winter of 2008 was cold and harsh here in Minnesota. Temperatures fell well below zero and stayed there for many weeks. In the past, Guy’s co-op had always used small trucks to pick up his milk. As the co-op grew, they started using large semi tankers. Because of the size and configuration of Guy’s yard, it was difficult for the larger trucks to navigate. One night the pipes from his well to his barn froze. Guy lost a very expensive water heater and, among other things, had to carry buckets of hot water from his house to his barn through deep snow in the below zero weather. Guy had always contended that the heavy trucks compacted the soil in his driveway, changing the frostline and causing the pipes that ran under the driveway to freeze. He had complained to the co-op before to no avail. The co-op went from unresponsive to actively hostile when Guy told them what happened. They took no responsibility, nor did they offer the Ekolas any remedy or compensation for this accident.

Because there was no hot water running into the barn, the milk inspector degraded his milk for a period of time, causing the Ekolas to lose a large part of their income. The milk inspector gave the Ekolas a long list of repairs to be done. Guy completed them—his livelihood was at stake–then the inspector came back with a second long list. At this point Guy lost his temper, and as the saying goes, when you lose your temper, you’ve lost the argument. A field representative from the co-op came in and tried to intervene. When confronted with an angry Guy who stood to lose both his ideals and his livelihood and would not bend, they decided to terminate the Ekola’s contract. Now a black sheep in the family of farms, the co-op did what many families do…turned their backs on the one who did not fit in.

Life has gone steadily downhill for the Ekolas since that time. Citing the bad economy, the co-op refunded the Ekolas a fraction of their original membership investment, just at the time they needed their cash the most. They ignored all phone calls and pleas made by others on the Ekola’s behalf. Guy had to sell his milk in the non-organic milk stream at a much lower price and the change came just as the bottom fell out of the milk market last year. The new co-op, knowing of the Ekola’s problems, had no further use for them and harrassed them in every way imaginable, including slandering Guy to other people, threatening his income, and trying to stop their milk pickups by using test results that were later proved by an independent lab to be totally inaccurate. At the end of last summer, Guy sold most of his herd for slaughter. As a final insult, because there were so many other dairy farmers selling their herds at the same time, he got almost nothing for his animals.

When I heard the story of Guy Ekola and his problems last year, I knew I had to help. As a former legal assistant, I did research for Guy and tried to find him an attorney. I do what I can because I know exactly what is at stake here. I have children and grandchildren and want them to be able to live the American dream. For my family, the American dream is not one of big houses and three-car garages, but rather the dream of clean food, good health, freedom to be left alone, a passion for living and love of the land, values that Guy Ekola embodies and offers to the world every day. I knew that the Ekolas had a clear-cut breach of contract case and started what has been up to now a fruitless search for someone to represent this family. My computer quickly filled up with the names of attorneys I had contacted as I followed one dead-end lead after another. So far, no one has come forward to represent Guy. Some think he has a good case and some say he has no case at all, but the bottom line is that the Ekolas don’t have the money to litigate and no one wants to take the case on a contingency-fee basis. Guy also needs an expert to prove his frost line claims…so far there has not been a single attorney in Minnesota that I have found who is willing to front the few thousand dollars that’s needed to hire one.

As I did my research, I learned other things, too. I learned that co-ops that were originally created to protect the rights of farmers now take their rights away. I learned that the price of milk that fell so precipitiously last year (only to the farmers, not on the wholesale or retail level) is set by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, who told us last year simultaneously that the reason for the lower milk prices was that there was a decreased demand from consumers because of the recession, and that there was a supply of cheaper milk coming in from China to meet a higher demand. I learned that price fixing abounds at almost all levels of the wholesale and retail chains…this has been going on for many years. Farmers are the only ones who are left out of the price-fixing loop.

What happened to the Ekolas seems at first glance to be an isolated incident, specific to them but of no interest to anyone else. But can any of us say in this new world that we will never experience an incident that would threaten our livelihood or our way of life? And if we did, would we be able to trust the people that we do business with to help us, or would they prey on our misfortune? If those same people were responsible for the incident, would they take responsibility or would they do whatever they could to shirk their responsibilities? I think that what happened to the Ekolas is a sign of the times. Trouble could come to you, to me, to anyone. If it did, who could we count on? Business is now the enemy and the courts are closed to people without money. There is no honor left in the business community as they grapple for more and more money. There has never been justice in this country for people who don’t have money. If friends and neighbors don’t band together to help one another, who will? All we have left now is each other and if we don’t help one another we will all go down, one by one. That’s why I fight for the Ekolas, and that’s why I am telling their story.

This year the Ekolas are growing vegetables, goats and sheep, trying to rebuild and hang on. Guy’s wife works outside the home, uses the wool to make rugs, and they will also try to sell seeds. It’s been a good year weather-wise here in Minnesota and they are surviving, but no longer thriving. The corporate world has no use for people like Guy now. He is too small and too inconsequential to be of use to them, not many will notice it when he’s gone. He’s also too abrasive, outspoken and inflexible about what he believes is right, which makes him a threat to those who measure themselves by a lower, but much more common standard. If Guy is pushed out, we will lose the the quintessential American man, the one who nurtures his land and his family, the good steward, the one who lives what he believes and fights for it, the keeper of what little light is still left in this world.

Guy is a dangerous man now, the one who still understands and values his freedom. Because of this, a dispute which could have been resolved over coffee at the kitchen table is now the subject of possible litigation. It’s vitally important to understand this story, because when men like Guy can no longer seek justice through the system, we’ll lose infinitely more than one small diaryman.

If anyone reading this is an attorney or knows of one who might advocate for Guy, please contact me at judyann614@gmail.com

I won’t let Guy—or what he stands for–go down without a fight. I’m hoping that the one right person, the one who might be in a position to help, feels the same way.

ILLEGALTO GROW, SHARETRADE OR SELLFOOD
Senator Lamar Alexander is the co sponsor of Senate Bill 510.
If accepted S510 would preclude the public’s right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes.
S510 will:
1. It puts all US food and all US farms under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, in the event of contamination or an ill-defined emergency.
2. It would end US sovereignty over its own food supply by insisting on compliance with the WTO, thus threatening national security.
3. It would allow the government, under Maritime Law, to define the introduction of any food into commerce (even direct sales between
individuals) as smuggling into “the United States.”
4. It imposes Codex Alimentarius on the US, a global system of control over food.
5. It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US, putting control of seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other multinationals, threatening US security.
6. It includes NAIS, an animal traceability program that threatens all small farmers and ranchers raising animals.
7. It extends a failed and destructive HACCP to all food, thus threatening to do to all local food production and farming what HACCP did to meat production – put it in corporate hands and worsen food safety.
8. It deconstructs what is left of the American economy.
9. It would allow the government to mandate antibiotics, hormones, slaughterhouse waste, pesticides and GMOs.
10. It uses food crimes as the entry into police state power and control.

RepublicDefiance.com

We will be at the Nashville Farmers’ Market at 1:00 this Saturday afternoon, Sept. 4, protesting S510, and distributing flyers. We plan to do this two weekends in a row.

Our senator Lamar Alexander, former Presidential candidate, as well as former Governor of Tennessee and Mr. New World Order boy, is a co- sponsor. He needs to be dragged out of the Senate, arrested and tried for treason. This bill is so egregious, and so unconstitutional, it is sheer madness, and many people just don’t know about it.

Therefore, we want to encourage everyone to get out in their areas with the flyers provided HERE, hand them out, and post them around your home town. Post this flyer in legal, easily visible locations. Pass it out to friends, family, and people you meet. Please do not post flyers on private or government property.

We would also like to encourage people to make YouTube videos of their activism. Please tag Republic Defiance and Farm Wars in your YouTube video. If you send a link of your YouTube video recording your event, we will post it.

You may contact Republic Defiance or Wally Paul on Facebook, or send us an e-mail at republicdefiance@gmail.com to find out more about this event.

Help us draw a line in the sand. This bill must die.

Fight the Fight. Demand Food Freedom!

A glimpse into the near future!_______________________________________________________

Welcome to nationalized, government owned and operated farming and ranching!

This is the new government run farming and ranching. Everything will have to be done to meet criteria yet to be determined. The new dictatorial agency headed by the “secretary”, will now be able to designate high risk foods,(based solely on a reasonable belief, even if unfounded) and the subsequent products of these yet to be written (or admitted) criteria, as grounds to require registration of your farm or ranch as a facility.

Exemptions are permitted but we intend to make it impossible to achieve exemptions under existing growing conditions; you must comply with our business plan to continue in agriculture of any kind.

This system, a complete take over the food production and supply to benefit multi-national corporations and to facilitate the implementation and adherence to unlawful trade and harmonization agreements including a back door to Codex Alimentarius, will allow us to come in and rapidly destroy anything that doesn’t suit us, and if there is a mistake, or we get caught intentionally and with malice targeting you, you’ll be years getting indemnification. We may also avail ourselves of any property belonging to you, which we do not have to return or pay you for, and we may terrorize and harass your family in the process.

We used “science based” methods

Got a sick cow? We won’t waste time and money to determine what it might be sick from, or if any of the remaining herd is sick…we’ll just kill them all on the spot!

Science has shown us that killing off any source of production or income for the independent producer will increase the profits of multi-national corporations and by extension, will increase our revenues.

Our science based model has proven that eradication for any reason, or no reason, is the surest and most effective way to end competition in the markets and to implement Agenda 21 protocols obliterating food sources in areas marked for “biodiversity, human habitat free” zones.

Our science based models prove that over time, we can completely eliminate anything but industrialized corporate farming and ranching using discriminatory methods of enforcement, arbitrary regulations and codes for compliance that cannot be met by small producers. If we find that any of you small producers can meet our requirements, we will change the rules within 24 hours, with no notice to you.

We will also require you to keep copious amounts of records for extended periods of time, to be kept on file and accessible electronically, on demand. These records will be used to form a criminal complaint against you, which, although clearly a violation of your 4th and 5th Amendment protections, will not apply to our corporate sponsors, nor to foreign importers on whom we rely for their continual and generous supply of “funding”.

For these special interests we have retained the self-inspection program referred to as HACCP, and we will simply take their word that they complied with all of our spurious and ever changing regulations, rules, codes and titles.

To expedite these acts of aggression against the lawful citizens of the United States engaged independently in agriculture, we have again prohibited your right to judicial review of our actions. As the courts no longer adhere to the constitution, and give no consideration to your rights, consider this an act of efficiency saving you time and money by prohibiting you from accessing the courts. You won’t be able to find a court willing to uphold your rights anyway or an attorney willing to adequately represent you.

And please remember! You now work for the government! You own nothing and have no control over what was your real property. Your right to engage in trade, your right to lawfully engage in business to produce an income has been recinded. Welcome to the new nationalized agricultural system!

________________________________________________________

A special thanks to our sponsors!

The multi-national corporations, trade organizations and harmonization committees, comprised of vested stakeholders who have a massive profit interest in seizing and controlling agriculture of all kinds in the United States, have generously funded the campaigns of elected officials and provided other perks to assure this coup against independent domestic agriculture is successful.

Go here to find out how much each of our elected officials has been collecting from the lists of supporters of this bill. Then read the lists of supporters: it’s a who’s who of biotech, and big AG. If you can read these lists and still come away thinking this bill is about food safety, stop reading here; we can’t do anything else for you.___________________

If ever there was a reason to vote the bums and the bumettes out, surely the coming vote on S.510, The Assault on Domestic Agriculture euphemistically called a “Food Modernization Act”, would be that reason. A “yes” vote on this bill is a vote against the sovereignty of the United States and wholesale capitulation to unlawful trade and harmonization agreements including Codex Alimentarius. Nothing in this Act is intended to, or will, secure the food supply and make it safe. The safety of food will only be accomplished by keeping corporate federal agencies out of your state!

The Federal government is once again, knowingly entering into a area where they have no valid constitutional authority and can claim no enabling act or constitutional clause, as a source from which they could derive authority over agriculture. The misinterpretation of the commerce clause, knowingly misrepresented, cannot facilitate the enactment of this Act into positive, enforceable, law.

Congress, lacking any constitutional authority, is fully aware they can confer no mandate onto the states causing them to comply with any portion of this Act, has inserted provisions into the Act ordering private corporate contracting to take place between the federal corporations known as the USDA and FDA and other federal corporations, and the state corporations designated by each governor to act as agents on behalf of the state. This is the only way any of these agencies can gain access to the states; your governor will open the door!

Each of the agencies mentioned either here, or in the Act itself, whether state or federal, are privately owned corporations acting as a deceptive fraud on the public, i.e., “public service” agency.

While the Act claims it will in no way affect vitamins and supplements, the original language was removed only to quell the public backlash against forced compliance to Codex Alimentarius. What the Act does not say is that these provisions for CODEX have been moved to various FDA changes to the code of Federal Regulations, currently open for commenting on the Federal Register.

The Act also uses the terms “misbranding and adulteration” as a vehicle for targeting for prosecution and revenue generation and which would by the terms of this Act, apply only to those not provided special treatment, like self inspection. Who does that leave? Small businesses, family farms and ranches.

Would these terms not more accurately be applied to cloned meats? Genetically modified seeds, crops, and processed products passed off as “food”? Or possibly any or all of the 2000 plus chemicals that processors are allowed to list as “spices” in their ingredient lists? Are these things not “misbranded”? Are they not “adulterated”? What about genetically altered livestock, fish stocks and fowls containing the dna of non-related species? Do they not make unsubstantiated claims as to their safety? Have any of these agencies and their mountains of regulations ever addressed the over use of hormones, vaccines and antibiotics used on animals? Does this not make the resulting product “adulterated”? A threat to the national food supply?

Because of the corporate contracting and pandering not only in our congress, but also within these privately owned corporations, our food supply is co-mingled with imports known to be consistently contaminated yet there is nothing in this Act that will alter, halt or impede the dumping of excessive imports into the system. Nor is there any penalty for any country having done so.

Nothing in this Act halts, impedes or limits the use of genetically modified plants, seeds or other food-like products which independent testing has shown to be harmful to the health of human beings; damaging internal organs and at times altering DNA. Maybe the USDA and FDA think the residual consumption of herbicides, pesticides has had no affect on the overall health of the nation.

In fact, this Act will facilitate the monopolizing of the seed industry to benefit Monsanto, making seed saving or the planting of non-gmo seeds, a crime.

Our domestic livestock is diseased either from horrendous unsanitary conditions they are forced to endure or from a combination of those conditions and the over use of pharma used to keep them alive in unnatural situations.

What are USDA’s intentions regarding livestock?

They intend to end all disease prevention programs as they exist now. This is to force the facilitation of premises ID and the National Animal Identification System so thoroughly rejected by everyone except for corporate industries which anticipated a reduction in competition and greater share of the markets as this competition disappeared.

The ending of these programs is intended to intentionally, adversely impact the health of livestock. This is simply a case of intentionally creating the dangerous environment necessary to frighten the public into compliance. To me, it is an overt act of aggression against the people; and congress sits quietly and says nothing in our defense.

There are few of us out here who do not recognize the inherent and obvious threat contained in this bill. Any provisions in it pertaining to food inspection, food safety or securing the food supply are redundant as these provisions already exist in various regulations and “laws”. These redundancies were inserted to not only divert attention away from the coming assault on domestic family and independent agriculture, but to obscure the real intent of this Act which is the forced collapse of anything other than industrialized corporate agricultural operations.

With the FDA recently claiming a “presumed authority” (which it does not have) to dictate what we eat, and claiming we do not have the right to choose what foods we will consume, one has to wonder why there is any need for this bill at all? But then many of us also wonder why we continue to endure the corruption of our government as it hands over control of the country to multi-national corporations who have no other intention than to plunder and lay waste to the US.

This Modernization Will NOT Provide REAL Food Safety!!!! Senate Bill S510, the dangerous and misleading Food Safety Modernization Act, is getting close to a vote on the heels of the half-million egg recall from the industrial food supply chain. Act NOW!!!

NHFA urges you to immediately write your Senators and oppose S. 510. Click here to write your Senator NOW! 1. NHFA opposes S 510 because:

►It is a dangerously broad regulatory bill giving extensive discretionary power to the FDA over the entire food supply chain without proper checks and balances to avoid abuse of power;

►It would impose one-size-fits-all-regulations on thousands of small and mid-sized farmers, small-scale local farms and food producers,  and would drastically burden, to extinction,  basic natural and organic food suppliers, thus endangering the lives of Americans who depend on local wholesome foods;

►It does not reflect a well-thought-out solution, or address the real causes of food safety issues stemming from the industrialized food supply chain; and

► It attempts to limit the authority of our own domestic U.S. laws when it includes language ensuring that our US law will not disturb other international agreements that we have made. It states:

“Nothing in this Act shall be construed in a manner inconsistent with the agreement establishing the World Trade Organization or any other treaty or international agreement to which the U.S. is a party.” Click here to read latest manager’s amendment to the bill.

2. NHFA supported amendments passed regarding Codex and regarding the addition of exemption language for Dietary Supplements in the international standards section of the bill and has suggested these important changes in case the bill moves forward.

3. NHFA supports the Tester-Hagen amendments (not yet adopted) and joined Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance’s opposition project, along with152 organizations of consumers, farmers and ranchers, local food producers, and co-ops concerned about the bill. The Tester-Hagen amendments would delete burdens on small-scale, local food producers. Click here to read more.

4. NHFA signed on with the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance formal letter to the Senate that states: “All of the well-publicized incidents of contamination in recent years – whether in spinach, peppers, or peanuts – occurred in industrialized food supply chains that span national and even international boundaries. The food safety problems in this system can and should be addressed without harming the local food systems that provide an alternative for consumers.” Click here to read more. 5. The overall bottom line: NHFA opposes passage of S. 510 because it grants a dangerous level of discretionary power over the food supply chain to the FDA, and it will eliminate access to basic natural food and endanger the lives of Americans who depend on local wholesome foods. ***********************

* Our colleagues at NHF (National Health Federation): August 22nd Action Alert from NHF on the hill states that: “six Senators

– Tom Harkin (D-IA),

Mike Enzi (R-WY),

Durbin (D-IL),

Judd Gregg (R-NH),

Chris Dodd (D-CT), and

Richard Burr (R-NC)

just announced that they had reached a “bipartisan” agreement on changes to S.510”. (Read More) That means we NOW we need an ALL OUT PUSH to oppose this big Ag bill. NHFA agrees with NHF when it states that:

“It is a recipe for disaster that will make our food supply less safe, not safer. Moreover, it will lead to the eventual extinction of the big Agribusinesses’ competition – the small and medium-sized farms; but then this is part of the plan as well made by these huge corporations and their bought-and-paid-for buddies on Capitol Hill who pass coercive laws limiting our free choices so that, in the end, we will only be able to buy the trash food sold by big Agribusiness”. (Read More

* Our colleagues at Citizens for Health (CHF): NHFA agrees with Citizens for Health in its detailed point analysis of the language of the bill calling for its opposition and for its comments on the international reference when it states:

“No other countries ensure that all of their internal regulations are consistent with WTO or any other treaty or international agreement – so why should the United States sacrifice its sovereignty? As if that wasn’t reason enough, we all share the concern about what might happen to the affordability of – and especially our access to – the products and services we choose to maintain our health and wellness if the United States was required to harmonize with the WTO, SPS, the Uruguay Rounds, and Codex!” (Read More)

►Take Action! Oppose S. 510 and ask the Senate to address the REAL causes of food contamination in our food supply! Click here to write your Senator Diane M.
If you want a glimpse of what is ahead for you if S.510 passes, here it is.

These are Wisconsin predators, employed by DATCP to act under the color of law and against the people. Earning from 65,000 thousand a year to as much as 105,000 per year, the goons in this video are set loose to harrass and terrorize selected Wisconsin dairy farmers who sell fresh raw milk.

Unlawfully, and without a valid warrant, or any oaths of affirmation, private property was tresspassed, stolen, destroyed and otherwise rendered useless by the goons who make their living preying on the public while wearing a government badge and collecting a huge paycheck.

This attempt to terrorize and coerce this family into compliance was facilitated by the local sheriff who seemed very pleased with violating the rights of these private citizens.

By the way, S. 510 is very clear that dairy farms will be be a target of section 420 (e)

________________________________________

Down through the annuals of history, central governments have been notorious in their consistent and repeated crimes against humanity; but perhaps, at no time were their crimes more heinous than during the years of the Second World War.

Since WWII, however, the severity and magnitude of governmental crimes have exploded exponentially. And, the explosions started in a monstrous way after the Japanese nation had lost its ability to wage war: It was then that US president Harry S. Truman issued his Executive Order to drop two atomic bombs on defeated Japan.

Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe, Dwight David Eisenhower said, “Japan was already defeated and the dropping of the [atomic] bomb[s] was completely unnecessary.”

Prior to the atomic attack on Japan, the US had waged a fire-bombing war, not on the Japanese military, but on innocent Japanese men, women and children, beginning with the dropping of 700,000 incendiary bombs on Tokyo. Two nights later, a force of more than 500 B-29s, again, struck the heart of the Japanese Empire with 4,000 tons of incendiaries. Those Tokyo fire-bombs brought more horror than our minds can comprehend, but the resulting winds wrought even more terror. The heat from the flaming cauldrons below was so intense, that the B-29s flying above were often buffeted upwards by as much as 4,000 feet.

US reconnaissance photographs showed that 51.3 square miles of what was once Tokyo, teeming with 7, 000,000 human beings, had been reduced to ashes, sans the stench of burning human flesh.

It was then that US General Curtis LeMay, who had been so successful in fire-bombing millions of innocent German citizens, smothered Yokohama with 3,200 tons of fire-bombs. Elated with his results, LeMay set out to burn down even more cities in the already defeated nation of Japan; then more and more cities were reduced to fiery crucibles of human life … until …67 Japanese cities were utterly destroyed. All done after the great WW II was essentially over.

Two Japanese cities, however, were purposely spared death by fire, as they were to be vaporized. Well after the extensive fire-bombing of practically the entire nation of Japan, whose government was trying to surrender, the atomic bomb called “Little Boy” was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on August the 6th 1945; followed by the detonation of the atomic bomb called “Fat Boy,” on Nagasaki, on August the 9th 1945. America has the distinction of making the first attacks with atomic bombs in the history of warfare, even turning Japanese school children into gas as they sat in their classrooms.

The US government had not only unbelievably burnt alive or etherized hundreds of thousands of non-combatant German and Japanese citizens, but during the months and years ahead, many more innocents died from burns, radiation sickness, leukemia, and solid cancers.

Rather than bringing Japanese officials to the American Southwest atomic test sites to witness demonstrations of the might of atomic bombs, General Curtis LeMay (General Buck Turgison in Dr. Strangelove) worked himself into a frenzy trying to get US atomic bombs into the air space over Japan, before word went world-wide that the Japanese government had long worked for surrender.

At one time, civilized warfare was about killing enemy combatants; but, killing innocent civilians, including children, was to become an American governmental speciality, not limited to killing foreign nationals, but those of her own.

General of the Army, and later the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers in Japan, Douglas MacArthur said he saw no military justification for the atomic bombing of Japan.

Former president of the United States, Dwight David Eisenhower said, “I thought that our country should avoid shocking world opinion by the use of a weapon whose employment was, I thought, no longer mandatory to save American lives. It was my belief that Japan [was] at that very moment seeking some way to surrender with a minimum loss of face … The Japanese were ready to surrender and it wasn’t necessary to hit them with that awful thing [atomic bombs].”

Prominent educator and brother to President Eisenhower, Milton Eisenhower said, “Certainly what happened at Hiroshima and Nagasaki will forever be on the conscience of the American people.”

Admiral William D. Leahy, Chief of Staff to President Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman, said “It is my opinion that the use of this barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no material assistance in our war against Japan. The Japanese were already defeated and ready to surrender because of the effective sea blockade and the successful bombing with conventional weapons. My own feeling was that in being the first to use it, we had adopted an ethical standard common to the barbarians of the Dark Ages. I was not taught to make war in that fashion, and wars cannot be won by destroying women and children.”

Former president Herbert Hoover wrote, “The Use of the atomic bomb, with its indiscriminate killing of women and children, revolts my soul … The Japanese were prepared to negotiate all the way from February 1945, up to and before the time the atomic bombs were dropped [in Aug. 1945].”

Mahatma Gandhi said, “The atomic bomb has deadened the finest feelings which have sustained mankind for ages. There used to be so-called laws of war, which made it tolerable. Now we understand the naked truth. War knows no law except that of might. The atomic bomb brought an empty victory to the Allied armies. It has resulted for the time being in the soul of Japan being destroyed. What has happened to the soul of the destroying nation is yet too early to see. Truth needs to be repeated as long as there are men who do not believe it.”

The late, great American author Eustace Mullins gives us the real reason President Harry S. Truman issued the Executive Order to atom bomb Japan, which would forever blackmark America as a Nation of Infamy, in his work, “The Secret History of the Atomic Bomb: Why Hiroshima was Destroyed.”

Mr. Mullins tells us of the cast of demons who ordered Truman to atom bomb Japan.

It was the International Monetary/Banking Cartel – primarily the House of Rothschild – and their chief US agent, Wall Street banker Bernard Baruch, and his lackey, J. Robert Oppenheimer, the director of the Los Alamos atomic bomb laboratories were the main drivers of our heinous, our grossly reprehensible incineration and vaporization of innocent Japanese men, women and children.

It was the repugnant Oppenheimer (Dr. Strangelove in Dr. Strangelove) who glorified in such vile torture of children; after he heard about the horrible effects his bomb had caused in Hiroshima, Oppenheimer paraded around with his hands clinched above his head, like a prize-fighter who had just knocked out his opponent.

It was Oppenheimer who said, “I am Death, the Destroyer of worlds.”

It would be a pathetic fallacy to attribute human emotions or characteristics to these beasts of darkness; they are of another breed, that knows no civilized breeding. These same half-breeds of Satan and man gave the Soviet Union, by way of US intelligence agents, the American taxpayer paid secrets to developing atomic bombs, then financed the “arms race” during the Cold War, which has resulted in Israel, Great Britain, France, China, India, Pakistan, and North Korea, also, having nuclear weapons, in the descending order of magnitude.

It is also this same cabal that wants the US and/or Israel to destroy Iran with nuclear bombs, in its march toward utter destruction and chaos in the Middle East.

The International Monetary/Banking Cartel, with its World Bank and International Monetary Fund, that has fostered the anthropogenic global warming hoax to further enrich themselves at our expense, who financed the mass production of uranium, that will deplete to half-life in 4.47 billion years, once discharged and aerosolized from weaponry, while calling it “depleted.” There is nothing depleted about DU munitions, and is best, more accurately, called Deplet-ING Uranium, that will continue to deplete for about 4.5 billion years … that’s B as in billion. Clearly Depleted Uranium is a purposely used misnomer.

Please understand, this Cartel, and their minions in government, most of science, and the mass media care not a whit about our environment, as proven by their silence of the aerosolization of thousands of tons of deadly DU (depleting uranium) from the Balkans, to the Middle East, to the rest of the world, with their god-less wars of aggression.

When did the presidential candidates of 2008, John McCain or Barack Obama ever speak out against our illegal use of DU, or the explosions of hundreds of thousands of tons of DU that is poisoning all human and animal (and even marine) life around the world? Who has told us the ugly truth about DU munitions? Who has told us that the DU munitions, expended by US, UK, and Israeli troops in the Middle East, are now poisoning our entire world? Certainly not Obama or McCain! Where have the mainstream political pundits been, who should be pointing out how we have put our own young men and women, who are serving in war zones, among the walking dead?

Our pretended leaders of government and the mouth-pieces of the corporate media have all been muzzled regarding the dangers of DU, chemtrails, GMO crops, fluoride, aspartame, television, wifi technology, pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines, psychotropics, CAT scans, naked body scanners, lab created viruses, ethno-specific bio-weapons, HAARP, EMF fields, black magic, religious dogma, pornography, perverted sex, and many other dangers engineered and encouraged since the Second World War; all of which form barriers between one’s consciousness and the intuitive truth and light within one’s soul. Simply put, humanity is in an unknown war for his soul. But, the most effective way of damaging our DNA structures, and making us into agreeable, sick slaves, is with depleting uranium.

And while the ignorant citizens of Israel cheer their own government’s slaughter of defenseless Palestinians, the Israelis too are ingesting DU particles from depleting uranium munitions (provided by US taxpayers) that have been dispersed in Gaza, Lebanon, the Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan by US, UK, UN, and Israeli armed forces. The entire Middle East, including Israel, has now become a hotbed of radiation poisoning, and will remain so for billions of years, a fact carefully hidden by the Cartel’s mass media. Aerosolized uranium does not honor national boundaries, nor does it know the difference between Arab and Jew. The Jewish people may or may not be “God’s chosen people,” but they are definitely uranium’s chosen people in Israel.

Israel has the distinction of being the first nation to have ever used DU weaponry, when they employed it in the 1973 Arab-Israeli war; but even the most rabid and dense Israeli or American war apologist must now be wondering why their governments still condone the use of DU weaponry, without a single plausible strategic or tactical reason to do so, when DU weaponry is aerosolizing countless billions of trillions of radiation particles around the world. Inventing excuses, or buying propaganda, for such insanity, will not protect one from the harsh realities of uranium.

The world-wide dispersal of atomic radiation has been horrendous, merely from the depleting uranium spread by the US use of DU weapons in Iraq, alone; it exceeds the amount of deadly radiation of over 500,000 times that of the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan. The crimes against humanity of “our” US government have certainly exploded exponentially.

No one hates us for our freedoms, as we have few. They hate us for our crimes against humanity, of which we have many.

Do the war-mongering “leaders” of our country think they are immune from uranium settling into their morning lattes, from the trade winds that blow around our planet? Obviously, the national and world leaders, who do the bidding of Satanic forces, believe they are being protected from “soft-kill” weapons by some advanced and secret technology, something these so-called leaders have not extended to our combat soldiers and Marines, nor to the rest of us.

Researcher and author William Thomas has written, “American and British troops entering Iraq should bandage all cuts, keep their overheated rubber suits zipped tight, and stop breathing. It is dust, not bullets, that will likely pose the most lethal consequences to their invasion of Iraq.”

One inhaled particle of DU can adversely affect our DNA structure, and could greatly shorten our lives. And as a result of the illegal, immoral use of DU in the Balkans and Middle East, authorized by Presidents Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama there has been a six-fold increase of lung cancer in the US, thousands of miles away from the theatres of war. It is estimated that by 2020 fifty percent of our youth will have cancer, a disease that not long ago was unheard of in children. The DNA damage DU has already caused in our world is beyond calculation.

Even now, DU testing takes place near the Lawrence Livermore Labs, a mere 50 miles east of the San Francisco Bay area; it’s there that thousands of pounds of radioactive material is annually detonated (since 1961, up to 20,000 pounds a year).

The US Navy routinely test fires DU munitions, with their navel guns, along our coastal waters.

In fact, DU fabrication, assembly, test firing, and toxic storage takes place in over 50 sites across our US continent, while other radioactive waste is dumped in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf of Mexico oceans.

Is all this DU test firing being done to find out if the stuff still explodes? Hardly. It is the DNA damage, alteration, and premature death of us all, that the expenditure of DU munitions cause that the Satanists of the Cartel seek for esoteric reasons beyond the scope of this article. Let us just say, the Cartel is drumming up business for their medical/pharmaceutical combine.

What those at the higher levels of the Control Grid are trying to do is to overwhelm mankind with a myriad of attacks, so that we fall into a hopeless apathy of indifference, for their end-game of utter submission. Adding to their mix of difficulties, for us, is their purposeful collapse of all the economies of the world, a fall that was greatly aided by Bill Clinton’s signing of the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act. Also expect the ogres of darkness to try and increase income taxes and carbon taxes – to eliminate the (fictitious) anthropogenic global warming scare. They’ll probably also try to pull off more “false flag” events (staged government sponsored provocations) and even more wars.

We, however, must call for a stop to wars, torture, and destruction, that the dark ones say is “freeing others for democracy.”

Beware of all pronouncements from the Pentagon, as they are worded to make torture and murder sound reasonable; but, we must reject such rhetoric, or we are in tacit agreement with monstrous behavior. No abuse of governmental power is more conspicuous than torture, as torture is an admission of criminal control of government.

We must end the government sponsored rain of toxins, called chemtrails, the cutting of our Rain Forest, the unsafely stored stockpiles of radio-active waste, and the dumping of toxic waste into landfills, rivers, and oceans. We must stop desecrating Earth, and repair the extensive damage done, not by paying the Banking Cartel more taxes in the form of buying carbon credits from them, but by doing simple things, like planting trees, a billion more trees across our world. We need to build thousands of desalination plants, from the savings of shutting down our Middle Eastern wars, that’ll our turn deserts into farm lands. In a world that is covered two-thirds by water, it is a travesty (NO, it’s an unspeakable crime) that children, or anyone, should go without clean water and nutritious foods.

According to the Advanced Global Technology Group we can produce large-scale, yet compact, modular, efficient and economical, geothermal, or solar-heat driven desalination/purification systems, which can provide the world with virtually unlimited amounts of ultra-pure water, without utilizing any fossil fuels, electricity, membranes, filters, chemicals, poisons, or creating any environmental impact, at lower cost than river water.

These water purification units could, also, utilize waste heat from steam turbines, boilers, furnaces, smelters, cooling towers, or any heat producing system, including solar; thus producing, in great abundance, our most valuable commodity – cleaner water for everyone.

We, also, need to expose the self-serving interests that have so long suppressed free energy sources, and other such technologies.

But the dog eat dog world of the International Monetary/Banking Cartel’s law of the jungle is not sustainable … if we bring about a world filled with our own lights of love, peace, kindness, generosity, harmony, honor, and more love. Hate, war, cruelty, greed, chaos, and lies will slowly disappear by following some of Gandhi’s words: We must be the light that will bring light into our world. It only requires that you, me, and others change our anger into reason, our injustices into fairness, our greed into generosity, our violence into peacefulness, our religious dogma into spiritual enlightenment, and our hate into love. But to accomplish any of it requires our desire and will; and while one’s will develops incrementally, one’s desire to absorb the positive enlightenment of truth must never falter.

God endowed our world to be one of abundance for us all. Defining abundance as having a lot of money and things, however, is a shallow understanding of the concept of abundance. Better to visualize abundance as everyone you meet, anywhere you go, as shining with good health and happiness. Visualize our skies, rivers, lakes, ponds and oceans being clean and pure. See endless fields of golden grain, fruit trees laden with their treasures, green pastures, parks, and fields adorned with vibrantly alive flowers, with animals, of all kinds, friendly to you and to each other. That’s the kind of abundant world, you and I and others can together create.

______________________________________

Just one mine in Nevada (Barrick Gold’s Goldstrike Mine) has pumped over 383 BILLION gallons of water from an aquifer. (and that was a 2005 statistic, so it’s much more than that by now) According to a New York Times article by Kirk Johnson, nearly 10 million gallons of water a day is draining away from the driest state in the nation.

To make one gold wedding band, about 20 tons of earth must be excavated.

Large scale open-pit mining takes millions of gallons of water, mostly to dilute the cyanide used to soak the ore and separate its microscopic bits of gold. About 20 of Nevada’s major gold mines may not last much longer than 2015, but that’s when the biggest problems will begin. The vast pits they leave behind will create a deficit in the aquifer, and scientists estimate it could take 200 years or more to replenish the groundwater.

When these mines close, about 40 pits, from Goldstrike’s Betze-Post to smaller mines like Newmont’s Lone Tree, will start to fill with water. These artificial lakes will store an estimated 500 billion gallons or more of water. This sounds good, BUT in the hot desert sun, the water will constantly evaporate, and for every gallon of evaporation, the lakes will draw another gallon from the aquifer beneath them. They will be sucking water from the aquifer forever. Some lakes are expected to be poisonous (laced with arsenic and selenium) and others may have metal and acid concentrations toxic to fish.

Tom Myers, PhD, a Hydrologic Consultant, wrote that “when mines extend below the water table, they must pump the local aquifers to keep their pit or shafts dry. This lowers the water tables near the mine…once pits refill with water, they will evaporate in perpetuity.”

The Great Basin Resource Watch gives a good explanation of how this works:

“Open pit mines are so deep that they reach below the groundwater table. Therefore, groundwater must be pumped from around the pits to keep the water from seeping inside while mining occurs. These mines have drained up to 70,000 gallons of groundwater per minute, and the pumps run 24 hours a day. The state of Nevada provides very little oversight of the mine’s use of groundwater.

Springs and streams in northern Nevada are drying up. Surface water is contaminated with arsenic and other heavy metals, and groundwater is contaminated when water is re-injected into the aquifer, leaving less water for wildlife and other uses.

After a mine closes, the problem gets worse. While the mine is in operation, pumping drains the aquifer in the area surrounding the open pit, creating an area devoid of water or a ‘cone of depression.’ When the mine closes and pumping stops, the groundwater is sucked back into the cone of depression as the system tries to reach equilibrium. The pit, formerly full of rock, but now empty, will pull groundwater from the surrounding areas for decades, and it can affect surface and groundwater flows up to 50 square miles away.

…a Bureau of Land Management Study in 1999 discovered that impacts were severe. Not only were groundwater and surface water flows affected, but sinkholes appeared within 10 miles of the Barrick Goldstrike mine.”

The New York Times article also revealed that a mine called Sleeper, which was operated until 1996 by Amax Gold and is now closed, filled with water and is losing about 257 million gallons of water to evaporation. The lost water had to be accounted for in the state’s water ledgers. A state engineer came up with a novel legal interpretation. He declared that the pit lake would be used for recreation, and that its evaporation would therefore be a “recreational use.”

What “uses” will be found for all of the other pit lakes?

Also, Michael DuBois, an analyst with the Idaho State Department of Environmental Quality, had to figure out why water in the Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir (in Idaho, on the Nevada border) had mercury levels 10 times higher than any other lake in Idaho. Guess what? AIRBORNE MERCURY (linked to neurological development in fetuses, infants and children) was coming from Nevada’s gold mines. This public news in 2005 pressured Nevada to finally begin regulating mercury. Prior to this, it was barely regulated and from 2001-2005 had only “voluntary” regulation. Neighboring states will have to deal with the consequences for years to come. Mercury accumulates in the tissues of fish and birds that pick it up from water sources.

In 2001, Barrick built a $300 million “roaster,” which heats ore for gold extraction and in the process, also frees other metals, like mercury. BUT BECAUSE IT BUILT THE MACHINE ON PRIVATE LAND, NO STATE OR FEDERAL LAW REQUIRED AN ANALYSIS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT. The roaster was subsequently identified by the EPA as a main mercury source.

In 2009, there was an injunction against Barrick’s Cortez mine on Mount Tenabo in Nevada.

“A three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals granted an injunction to force Barrick Gold Corp. to postpone digging a 2,000-foot deep open pit at the Cortez Hills…the judges in San Francisco said the U.S. Bureau of Land Management failed to adequately analyze the mine’s potential to pollute the air with mercury emissions and dry up scarce water resources in Nevada’s high desert. The project is located on Mount Tenabo, about 250 miles east of Reno.

The appellate judges concluded BLM’s review was inadequate under the National Environmental Policy Act, which requires a thorough examination of large-scale projects on federal land. They said the agency didn’t fully consider the air quality impacts resulting from transporting ore to an off-site processing facility 70 miles away.

The judges also said the review didn’t do enough to examine the likelihood that pumping water out of the pit would cause the groundwater level to drop and potentially dry up more than a dozen streams and springs.”

You’d think that knowing all of this, the BLM would try to cut their (or rather OUR) losses. But the Nevada BLM has new mining projects and they are even expanding Newmont Mining’s Bluestar-Genesis. (They had an open house in the BLM Elko field office for this in April 2008, and it must’ve been a big success, because it was on the Federal Register on April 8, 2010.)

How could all of this happen? Believe it or not, the current law is the General Mining Law of 1872, which declares mining the best use of public land, gives miners access to that land for bargain-basement prices, and doesn’t mention cleanup.

Meanwhile, the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management is rounding up our wild horses with a vengeance because there’s “not enough water for them to drink.” (A horse only drinks about 10-15 gallons of water a day.) It seems that DOI Secretary Ken Salazar has spent all of his time envisioning the “new direction” with his Wild Horse and Burro Initiative, which will take our wild horses off their federally protected lands and use taxpayer money to put them on preserves. Has he taken any initiative to envision a new direction for the mining companies yet? Has he bothered to come up with a plan to leave a few drops of untainted water for people, livestock and wildlife?

While the DOI and BLM have been ever so busy writing up regulations regarding the wild horses, including giving themselves the right to kill them all, they haven’t bothered to write many regulations for mining companies that are destroying our aquifers and future water supply.

On the BLM website, the BLM states its top priority is to ensure the health of the public lands. (I’d hate to see what their lowest priority entails.) What can some horse hooves possibly kick up in comparison to the “disturbance” caused by mining? Yet, Bob Abbey, Director of the BLM, took the time to make a YouTube video (titled “BLM Wild Horse Strategy”) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N70r4MXNH2w Will Bob Abbey make a hard-hitting YouTube follow-up about a BLM plan to round-up the mining industry?
